INSURING POLICE DOGS ONE STEP AT A TIME.
Ask any K-9 handler how they feel when a serious medical problem arises in their partner and immediate care is needed the emotional turmoil of deciding “is this something our K-9 budget can afford?” No K-9’s health should be compromised because of financial reasons, but unfortunately that is what happens everyday. There is no denying that having K-9 units in our communities are keeping us safer and would be a tremendous loss if these programs were phased out.
Pet Insurance has made tremendous strides in the past few years and more and more people are enrolling their pets. For Literally $200-325.00 a year police K-9’s would have $14,000.00 worth of medical coverage annually! No longer would handlers have the anxiety of making the decison based on economics, but rather on the health and well being for their partner.
The Bobbie Project needs your help. September 1, 2004 Nancy M. Thompson founder of The Bobbie Project will be going to Tanzania Africa to summit Kilimanjaro. She is requesting pledges to make the summit. All money raised will be used to purchase insurance policies for all of the police dogs in Massachusetts.
Kilimanjaro at the summit is 19,340 feet. To put this into perspective Mount Everest is 29,035 feet. Less than 10,000 feet separates these 2 summits! Nancy is fully committed to achieving this goal and we all hope that you are inspired by the task she has set for herself. If you would like to make a donation you may do so on our secure server by clicking the donation link. If you would prefer to send a check please make checks payable to The Bobbie Project and send them to the address listed.
Thank you for your support and check out our website periodically to see how close we are to our goal.
